The Russian Armed Forces carried out a group strike on gas and energy infrastructure facilities that support the Ukrainian military-industrial complex (MIC) last night, the Russian Defense Ministry said on February 20.
The ministry said that the goal of the attack had been achieved and all the facilities had been hit. The Defense Ministry specified that the strike was carried out with long-range air, sea and land-based precision weapons, as well as drones.
In the morning, an air alert was declared almost throughout Ukraine. The country’s Energy Minister German Galushchenko claimed that the gas production infrastructure had been damaged. He did not name the exact location of the damaged facility.
