It is too early to talk about reaching any compromise between Russia and the United States, Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), who is a member of the Russian delegation, told TV Channel One on February 18.
The first meeting of the Russian and the US delegations in Riyadh does not yet give grounds to talk about reaching a compromise, he said.
According to him, the sides have only just begun to hear each other.
Earlier it was reported that the delegations of Russia and the United States held a meeting in Saudi Arabia on February 18, dedicated to the restoration of the whole complex of Russian-American relations. According to Yury Ushakov, a Russian presidential aide who is a member of the Russian delegation, the meeting, in addition to everything else, is about reaching an agreement on how to start talks on Ukraine.
