The US Department of Defense has begun “testing” Finland as a potential new war theater, Russian Ambassador to Finland Pavel Kuznetsov stated in an interview with RIA Novosti on February 11.
“The demonstrative flights of US B-52 strategic bombers over Finland clearly indicate that the Pentagon has begun a practical ‘fitting’ of a new potential theater of military operations for its strike forces,” the diplomat said.
Finland joined NATO in the spring of 2023. According to Pentagon-confirmed data, US strategic bombers conducted multiple training flights over Finnish airspace throughout the summer and fall.
