It is planned to produce 36 MS-21 airplanes per year at the initial stage, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov told Channel One on February 5.
In the future, it is planned to double the production of airplanes, taking into account their deliveries for export, Alikhanov added.
The same figures were mentioned in 2022 by the head of the United Aircraft Corporation Yury Slyusar – it was planned to produce 36 airplanes a year by 2025 and further increase their output to 72 airplanes annually.
In November 2024, Alikhanov reported that test flights of MS-21 with PD-14 engine will begin in March 2025.
