The Russian army liberated the villages of Novoyegorovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) and Shevchenko in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the Russian Defense Ministry informed on January 20.
It is specified that the Group of Forces Zapad liberated Novoyegorovka.
Units of the Group of Forces Tsentr liberated the village of Shevchenko (located south of Krasnoarmeys (Pokrovsk) in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR)), which “continued advancing deep into the enemy’s defense.”
There are three settlements in the region, bearing the name Shevchenko. One of them was liberated on January 11.
