Iranian President accuses the West of fomenting Iranophobia and Russophobia

19.01.2025, Moscow.

The West is actively creating a negative image of Iran and Russia in the global community, stated Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in an interview with the Russian channel Solovyov Live on January 19.

“They are now trying to convince the entire world that Iran seeks to create a nuclear bomb! Both our Supreme Leader [Ali Khamenei], our policies, and our beliefs are founded on the principle that we do not seek, have not sought, and will never seek to create a nuclear bomb. They are forcibly imposing Iranophobia on the global community,” Pezeshkian said.

He emphasized that the West employs a similar strategy in its informational war against Russia. With control over media, financial institutions, and international relations, the West is able to shape public opinion to its advantage.

Pezeshkian argued that only cooperation among nations committed to independence and freedom can counter the West and the totalitarian, unipolar world it is attempting to construct.
