The pause in the decision to lower the age of mobilization in Ukraine is caused by the fact that the Kiev authorities are bargaining with the United States, Ukrainian Verkhovnaya Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky said in his Telegram channel on December 20.
“Perhaps this is the reason for the delay. They are bargaining,” Dubinsky wrote.
The MP pointed out that the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in his speech changed the reason why he does not decide to lower the age of citizens subject to mobilization.
“So, there is no longer any “gene pool” that must be “preserved”, and there is a deal – give more money (under the guise of weapons) and we will conscript 18-year-olds”, – said the MP.
November 14, 2023 Pechersky district court of Kiev ordered the arrest of Alexander Dubinsky. According to the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine, the MP is suspected of treason and participation in a criminal organization.
It is worth noting that on November 27, the Western mass media reported that the White House administration urged Vladimir Zelensky to lower the mobilization age to 18.
Also, on December 19, the Ukrainian president said that the problem of the Ukrainian army was not that it lacks men, but that they do not have enough weapons.
