In order for Ukraine not to vanish from the earth, it should give up the pride of differentness and expel “the demons of political Ukrainianism,” Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said in an article published in the International Life magazine on December 13.
Medvedev noted: “At the same time, Ukrainians are not required to sacrifice ‘neither soul nor body’ for their freedom. They should subdue the pride of ”differentness,” refuse to oppose themselves to the all-Russian project and banish the demons of political Ukrainianism.”
The deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation emphasized that in order to prevent the extinction of Ukraine it is necessary to “strengthen in the public consciousness the idea that Russia is indispensable for Ukraine in cultural, linguistic and political aspects”.
