Those who dreamed of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia, including the economy, have failed, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the plenary session of the VTB investment forum “Russia Calling!” on December 4.
According to the President, with the start of the SMO in 2022, a number of countries behaved unreliably, began to destroy production and logistics chains with Russia, fulfilling the task of strategically defeating the country in political, military, economic and technological areas.
The head of state pointed out that they deliberately implemented scenarios to weaken Russian industry, finance, services, tried to “create an insurmountable shortage of goods in our market, destabilize the labor market, and lower the standard of living of our citizens.”
“Obviously, these plans have been ruined, have failed” Putin emphasized.
On December 3, at a meeting with servicemen who are undergoing rehabilitation after being wounded at the Center for Innovative Technologies in Orthopedics, Putin said that defeating Russia strategically for the West means destroying, eliminating Russia.
The Russian leader recalled that there have been numerous attempts to destroy Russia, but there have always been people who stood up in defense of the country.
The President thanked the soldiers of the National Defense Forces for the defense of Russia and asked them to pass on special words of gratitude to their parents. Putin emphasized that the members of the SMO make Russia a truly powerful and sovereign country.
