Houthi fighters from Yemen’s Shiite political-military movement Ansar Allah launched missile and drone strikes on a US destroyer and three US bulk carriers in the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea, military spokesman Yahya Saree said on Al Masirah TV on December 1.
“The naval, drone, and missile forces of the Yemeni armed forces conducted a joint military operation, striking the US destroyer and three US bulk carriers,” noted Saree.
According to the Houthi representative, the attack on the US vessels involved 16 ballistic and cruise missiles and one drone. The ships targeted by “Ansar Allah” in the Arabian Sea and the Persian Gulf are named Stena Impeccable, Maersk Saratoga, and Liberty Grace.
Previously, Saree claimed that Ansar Allah struck a “vital target” in Tel Aviv with a hypersonic missile Palestine-2. He emphasized that Yemeni forces intend to intensify attacks against Israel in support of the Palestinian sectors of Gaza and the West Bank.
