The Russian soldiers of the Group of Forces Zapad liberated the village of Makeyevka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry wrote on its Telegram channel on September 29.
“The units of the Group of Forces Zapad liberated the village of Makeyevka in the Lugansk People’s Republic as a result of their successful offensive actions,” the statement reads.
In addition, Russian troops defeated the manpower and equipment of “the 44th, 53rd mechanized, 3rd assault brigades of the Ukrainin armed units and the 117th brigade of the Nationalist Territorial Defense in the areas of the settlements of Kupyansk in Kharkov Region, Makeyevka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Grigorovka and Torskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic” and successfully repelled a counterattack by Ukrainian militants.
