An Iranian deep cover spy provided the location of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah to Israel, according to the French newspaper Le Parisien, citing a source in Lebanon’s security services.
“An Iranian mole informed the Israelis during the day about the impending arrival of the Shiite leader,” the statement reads.
It was noted that the strike on Beirut, which killed the Hezbollah leader, was the most severe since 2006. The headquarters of the Shiite movement Hezbollah was located under residential buildings in the central Dahiya district. The Israeli strike reportedly killed 11 people.
