The acting deputy governor of Kursk Region noted the lack of tactical success of the Ukrainian armed units in the region on August 8, while commenting on the operational situation on the Russian Channel One.
“The enemy has not advanced a single meter further; on the contrary, they are retreating. The enemy’s equipment and combat forces are being actively destroyed,” the official said.
On August 6, the Ukrainian armed units, supported by armored vehicles, attacked the border areas in Kursk Region. Reserve units of the Russian troops were sent to the region to repel the attack and strengthen border control with Ukraine.
