Blackmail and pressure from Western elites is beginning to irritate the world community. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov at the Global Peace Forum at Tsinghua University on July 7.
“The international community is getting tired of constant blackmail and pressure from Western elites and new colonial ambitions,” Morgulov said.
In this regard, the diplomat notes, the world’s states are beginning to reduce their dependence on the dollar and switch to settlements in national currencies, using alternative payment systems.
He also emphasized that Western countries are pursuing a dangerous monetary policy, accumulating unsecured debts.
“As a result, we are seeing a slowdown in the global economy, growing unemployment, shortages of raw materials, the breakdown of existing supply chains, and problems with food and energy security,” Morgulov concluded.
As a result, the Russian diplomat notes, more and more countries around the world are beginning to strive for true independence.
