The confrontation between the USA and China is escalating, and it looks very similar to the confrontation between the UK and Germany before World War One, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on April 27 on the program Right to Know on channel TVC.
The analyst reminded the law of uneven development of states discovered over 100 years ago by the Austrian-German economist Rudolf Hilferding.
“World War One, however, according to Hilferding, and we should trust him, began because of uneven development between the UK and Germany,” Kurginyan said.
According to the philosopher, by the beginning of the 20th century the development of the UK had slowed down because of its “fatigue” from governing huge territories. The young German empire, in contrast, had just united and begun its advance.
“This is how all the components appeared. Compare the Berlin – Baghdad and the Great Silk Road or something else. Any times give rise to some ways, controlled territories, a division of the world, internal production value, national debt etc.,” the political scientist noted.
In such a situation, the older power, according to Kurginyan, has to decide whether it will share its achievements with a new competitor or not, and the new empire begins its struggle for a place it objectively deserves.
The UK refused to share, and the war began, which dropped Germany to a dramatically low position, while the UK, after huge casualties in its male population, maintained its position on the globe.
“The after a while it turns out that Germany can begin to develop again, while the other side cannot because it is exhausted. And then the United States rises, and competition between Germany and the Soviet Union takes place, i.e. World War Two,” Kurginyan says.
He stressed that today a similar situation is taking place between the USA and China, which is rapidly growing economically. The USA contributed to this itself when it began to develop its production there for lower cost of labor and higher profits.
“The egotistic instinct was to invest there instead of developing domestic industry. They have overfed their own population out of fear before the Soviet Union, and now it is difficult to move backwards. New trends of weighting up, aging, and capriciousness began,” the political scientist noted.
As a result, China has made an economic leap, and now the USA has to make a choice whether to give up the number one position, which it cannot afford, or to draw China into a war, the leader of Essence of Time concluded.
