The President of France admits conducting military operations against Russia

17.03.2024, Paris.

France may conduct military operations against Russia in Ukraine if necessary, French President Emmanuel Macron said in an interview with Le Parisien on March 16.

During the conversation, the French president said that during a summit with German President Olaf Scholz and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, he suggested that they split the tasks of military support for the Kiev regime, as each of the three countries would not be able to provide full assistance.

Asked by a journalist whether this implied France’s ability to send troops to Ukraine, the president responded positively.

It is possible that at some point, and I don’t want this and I don’t want to initiate it, there will be a need for ground operations, whatever they may be, to confront Russian troops,” Macron said.

According to him, France is strong enough and can make it happen.

At the same time, he said that the French General Staff is working out such a scenario.

Our duty is to prepare for all scenarios,” Macron said.

Earlier Macron at a private conversation in the Elysee Palace said that will send the French military to Odessa this year. This was reported by the newspaper Le Monde.
