Russian army liberates Pobeda

The Russian army liberated the village of Pobeda on the Donetsk direction, the Russian Defense Ministry said on February 22.

“On the Donetsk direction, units of the Yug Group of Forces liberated the village of Pobeda,” the press service said.

In addition, the Group of Forces improved its position along the front line and defeated three Ukrainian brigades in the areas of Novomikhailovka and Krasnogorovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

The total losses of the Ukrainian armed units in the Donetsk direction were more than 410 militants, one tank, three armored vehicles, five four-wheeled vehicles, self-propelled gun-howitzers Polish-made Krab and Bogdana, as well as D-20 howitzer and Gvozdika self-propelled unit.

On February 17, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu reported to the president on the liberation of the Donetsk suburb of Avdeevka.
