German politicians who want to bring the war to Russia will bring it to Germany, German journalist and political activist and Bundestag MP Sarah Wagenknecht said in response to a corresponding statement by CDU deputy Roderich Kiesewetter, BERLIN 24/7 wrote on February 13.
Earlier, Kiesewetter said, “The war should be moved to Russia. Russian military facilities and headquarters must be destroyed.” He added that Germany should do everything to help Kiev destroy “not only oil refineries in Russia, but also ministries, command centers, combat positions.”
Wagenknecht harshly criticized this statement by Kiesewetter, saying that “Mr. Kiesewetter no longer has all the cups in his closet” [“not all the cups in the closet” is a German expression equivalent to the English “insane” – Rossa Primavera News Agency].
“Whoever wants to bring the war to Russia by destroying Russian military institutions and ministries with German guns will bring the war to Germany,” she added.
Instead of escalating and provoking a possible world war, it is necessary to finally realize that Ukraine cannot win the war, Wagenknecht emphasized.
“Anyone who no longer wants to use the poor Ukrainian population in a proxy war or turn them to flight should negotiate an immediate ceasefire instead of supplying more and more weapons,” she said.
According to Wagenknecht, the German federal government spends 30 times more on arms supplies to Ukraine than neighboring France. She emphasized that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is asking for further US support for the war, which is seriously damaging Germany.
Wagenknecht expressed the opinion that the German government should no longer pass on diplomatic initiatives to end the war in Ukraine.
