The Ukrainian authorities want to fight their war against Russia to the end, and they are ready to send all their citizens to the war, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on January 27 on the program Right to Know on channel TVC.
According to Kurginyan, the military conflict in Ukraine will last longer than the Iran-Iraq war that lasted eight years. He noted that sociocultural processes are unfolding in parallel with the war, because a quarter of a million people cannot just be left out as these people have families, their families have friends, and they all have colleagues.
“Therefore, after a while this process becomes substantially irreversible. It follows its own laws. This magnitude dictates its laws to anyone, and it does not matter any longer what an official wants whatever ideas he has,” the political scientist said.
Kurginyan noted that the war is strategically very profitable to the world.
“There may be some idiots who want to temporarily suppress this process by taking bribes or something else, but strategically it is bringing great profits. To the US, to everyone. A war to the last Ukrainian is a very serious and ‘pleasant’ action.”
According to Kurginyan, it is already clear that the Ukrainian core wants to fight to the finish and that “it wants to sell the Ukrainian human commodity for an appropriate price.”
“Any resistance to this will be suppressed. All these speculations about whether it will be Zaluzhny or Zelensky and how it will happen make no difference. One is as bad as the other. It will be the same,” Kurginyan said.
Kurginyan stressed that a positional war, a war of attrition, a war for survival is taking place, and he suggested that the available resources should be counted: Ukraine’s population is about 20 million, and Russia’s is approximately seven times as much. However, Ukraine is waging a total war while Russia only has a special military operation.
“Our philosophy is that the major part of our population should live their usual life while the war is going. Here is a war and there is a peaceful life, but no one knows what kind of a transition is in between,” the political scientist said.
Kurginyan also noted that the Banderite authority in Ukraine is ready to go any length in its slaughtering function, while the Russian authorities’ approach is softer, and this is why Ukraine still has some options.
According to the political scientist, Ukraine has neither its own defense industry, nor its own economy or budget, and, in fact, Ukraine is a private military company, which is fed, but it is not a state anymore. Therefore, as long as this is a war of attrition involving both sides, Ukraine will only have a chance to win if the entire resource of mobilized Europe and the West is engaged. If this resource is not engaged, Ukraine has no chance in this war, Kurginyan believes.
