Syrsky is appointed Commander-in-Chief of Ukrainian armed units

Aleksandr Syrsky is appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian armed units, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in his Telegram channel on February 8.

“I have appointed Colonel-General Syrsky as Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian armed units,” Zelensky said.

Valery Zaluzhny previously held this position. The President of Ukraine offered him to stay in the “team”.

The newly appointed commander-in-chief was in charge of the land forces of the Ukrainian armed units.
