While Moscow continues to “befriend” Ankara, the Turks clearly pursue their interest, taking key positions in joint projects and risking undermining the entire structure, according to the report from the theater of war, published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 571.

Japanese and Turkish Foreign Ministers Yeko Kamikawa and Hakan Fidan held talks in Ankara. At the end of the talks, they held a joint press conference.

The Japanese foreign minister said that Turkey and Japan had agreed to continue cooperation to end Russia’s “occupation” of Ukraine as soon as possible. She also noted significant progress in relations between the countries and called Turkey a strategic partner of Japan.

The Turkish Foreign Minister, for his part, noted new opportunities for cooperation in the defense industry between Turkey and Japan. He emphasized that Ankara also attached importance to joint projects in the energy sector.

“Moscow continues to “befriend” Turkey, while the Turks clearly pursue their interest, taking key positions in joint projects and creating a risk of undermining the entire structure,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
