German official believes that Ukraine will need extra mobilization

06.02.2024, Berlin.

Ukraine will need to mobilize even more soldiers because it is suffering major losses. Christian Freuding, head of the German Defense Ministry’s working group for coordinating assistance to Kiev, said this in an interview with RND on February 5.

Freuding noted that Kiev would be forced to resort to increased mobilization since the Ukrainian army has not been rotating its personnel for the past two years.

According to Freuding, Germany will be able to double the supply of artillery shells to the Kiev regime this year.

Earlier, the German newspaper Neue Züricher Zeitung reported that Ukraine was experiencing an acute shortage of weapons.

According to the newspaper, Ukraine is in danger of running out of artillery shells. Stocks of Western armed forces are also dangerously low.

It was noted that two years after the start of the military special operation in Ukraine, ammunition production in Germany is gaining momentum.
