Inferno bomber drones begin carpet bombing of Ukrainian armed units’ positions

16.01.2024, Moscow.

Special drone bombers Inferno started carpet bombing of the Ukrainian armed units’ positions in several directions in the zone of Russia’s special military operation, the development company Rustekhdron said, RIA Novosti wrote on January 16.

“In the course of the combat mission, it passes over Ukrainian trenches, opens ‘bomb hatches’ and drops grenades in series of three,” the company representative explained. According to him, “it turns out to be analogous to carpet bombing in larger aviation.”

The result of such bombardment is the enemy’s losses as killed and wounded. Developers note that the product can be used against lightly armored vehicles. The Inferno drone is a type of FPV drone.

To complete a mission, the drone does not need to hover over the target as it is equipped with a downward pointing aiming bombing camera. Bombs are dropped on the move, increasing the drone’s survivability.

Rustekhnodron is Russia’s only manufacturer of FPV drones that can conduct bombing missions. The company already delivered “hundreds of Inferno unmanned bombers” to the zone of Russia’s special military operation.

An FPV drone (First-Person View) differs from GPS drones in its ability to broadcast online in real-time to a monitor, goggles, or helmet with a built-in receiver. GPS drones are designed for stabilized aerial photography.
