Venezuelan authorities congratulate Cuba on 65th anniversary of the revolution

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro sent a congratulatory message to the people and government of Cuba on the 65th anniversary of the victory of the Cuban Revolution, Últimas Noticias wrote on January 1.

In the text of the congratulatory message, the Venezuelan authorities stress their gratitude to Cuba for its solidarity in the struggle against the multifaceted and asymmetric war imposed by imperialism, and reaffirms the firm friendship between the two brotherly peoples.

Maudro paid tribute to Commander Fidel Castro, Army General Raúl Castro and members of the rebel army, as well as “the legacy of dignity and resilience they left to the peoples of the world.”

On January 1, 1959, the leader of the Commander Fidel Castro from the balcony of the City Hall of Santiago de Cuba proclaimed the victory of the revolution in Cuba.
