Russian soldiers of the Army Group Zapad destroyed an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian nationalist territorial defense brigade in the Kharkov region in Ukraine, the head of the army group’s press center Sergey Zybinsky told TASS on 4 December.

The strike was carried out on the ammunition depot of the 113th brigade of the Ukrainian nationalist territorial defense brigade. It was located near Liptsov in the Kharkov region. Two vehicles, a D-30 howitzer and about 95 Ukrainian nationalists were destroyed along with the depot.

Also, units of the Army Group Zapad launched artillery and air strikes on the positions of the 14th mechanized and 25th airborne brigades of the Ukrainian armed units near Sinkovka and Berestovoye.

The commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhny said in an interview with The Economist that the Ukrainian armed units’ offensive was hindered by minefields and that the entire conflict in Ukraine had reached a deadlock.

The Ukrainian armed units conducted a counter-offensive for several months. However, its successes are questionable. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the counter-offensive had failed.
