Putin: Artificial intelligence will not replace medical worker and teacher

24.11.2023, Moscow.

Artificial intelligence will not replace a medical worker or a teacher, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 24 during the conference Journey into the World of Artificial Intelligence.

However, he noted at a plenary session with representatives of healthcare, education, and Sberbank, artificial intelligence can be a faithful and effective assistant to a teacher and a doctor.

The President explained that artificial intelligence can give a teacher more time to educate children, and a healthcare provider can help remotely monitor patients’ health, as well as detect diseases at an early stage and prevent them.

According to Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the president’s entire day on November 24 is “mainly devoted to artificial intelligence issues.” In a special demonstration area of the conference, he was promised to be shown “what artificial intelligence is and how a rather breakthrough development is taking place,” Peskov added.
