Arab countries at UN will demand to stop conflict in Gaza

Arab representatives at the UN will demand that the organization’s secretary-general use his power to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Permanent Representative to the UN Riyad Mansour told reporters on October 13.

“We are going to meet with the secretary-general after the conclusion of the UN Security Council meeting and ask him to use his powers and moral authority to help us implement the plan, which consists of three points – a ceasefire, humanitarian aid and avoiding ethnic cleansing,” the statement reads.

Earlier, the Israeli army introduced its ground forces into the Gaza Strip. In Tel Aviv said that it should not be perceived as a full-fledged operation, it is allegedly only raids.

Israel also completely stopped the supply of water, electricity to the region, interrupted the supply of fuel, food and medicine. A number of countries responded by demanding the organization of a humanitarian corridor.
