The West far surpasses Russia in total economic power, so a war of attrition is more profitable for it, according to a report from the theater of war published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 554.
The Wall Street Journal has said that the conflict in Ukraine will not end quickly. The publication cites the opinion of the Ukrainian command, which believes that the impossibility of a quick victory over Russia is caused by the fact that the Western military doctrine is outdated and does not meet today’s conditions and ways of fighting.
The newspaper points out that the Western military accepts the new realities on the battlefield and declares the importance of increasing the number of weapons.
“The West is not at all interested in ending hostilities quickly, at the moment, it needs a short respite to have time to ramp up its military-industrial complex. If we’re talking about a war of attrition, the total economic power of the West, despite all the complaints of Europeans suffering from their own sanctions, is much higher than that of Russia. And China will not waste money on Russia,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
