Washington decided to take control of the process in Ukraine after the failure of the Ukrainian “counter-offensive,” according to a report from the theater of war published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 554.
The Ukrainian mass media reported in late September that US Deputy Assistant to the President for National Security Michael Pyle had sent a letter to the Ukrainian authorities with a list of reforms that Kiev should implement in order to continue receiving military aid.
In this connection, the Ukrainian mass media characterized Zelensky’s trip to the USA to speak at the UN as a pretext for calling Zelensky down by the White House. According to an unnamed source, he received Washington’s demands there.
“The widely promoted ‘counter-offensive’ of the Ukrainian armed units has finally failed, despite all the attempts of official Kiev to convince the world community and its supervisors otherwise. Now Washington is taking full control of the process into its own hands,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
