Amid the escalating Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the Israeli army invaded the West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian portal Quds informed on October 10.
Armed clashes are reported to have erupted in the city.
The city of Nablus is located in the Palestinian autonomy in the West Bank, 100 km from the Gaza Strip and 42 km east of Tel Aviv. The population of the city reaches 150 thousand people.
On October 7, the Gaza Strip carried out a massive rocket attack on Israel. The armed groups of Hamas took control of several border areas in the south of Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked Hamas command centers. Israel’s Prime Minister declared that the country was at war. The Israeli military began to mop up the populated areas of Hamas fighters.
According to the latest data from the Israeli side, more than 900 people were killed and more than 2,500 were injured. In addition, Hamas units took more than a hundred Israelis captive.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of dead in the Gaza Strip – 687 people, with various injuries received 3726 people.
