Only those who can go against the flow will survive in today’s world consumed with lust, in the realm of the abyss, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio published on September 26 on the movement’s website.
The world is ruled by the immaterial, the philosopher stressed. According to him, in a world where everyone and everything is for sale only a man of Faith can prevail.
“Where there is Faith, there is a possibility for social structures to take form, there is confidence; as for everywhere else – it will lack any form, it will be a loose mass. The amount of this loose matter will increase,” said expert.
At the same time, Sergey Kurginyan noted that there are people who want to learn and those who can be trusted. However, according to him, there is a tendency to destroy such a social group. And this trend, largely imposed by the West, is a mainstream today. But along with it, there is also a counter-tendency – there are those who wish to go against the flow.
“As one Russian poet said: ‘Friends, go against the flow’, ‘Row together, in the name of the beautiful future, Against the current!’ Everything and everyone who goes against the flow, which is very hard, will overcome and ultimately demonstrate this resilience. It will demonstrate efficiency, as well as the ability to learn and so on,” the philosopher emphasized.
At the same time, he noted that the philosopher Ivan Ilyin, who is often quoted by President Putin, has a dispute with Leo Tolstoy regarding “non-resistance to evil through violence.” As the leader of the Essence of Time explained, Ilyin argues that such non-resistance is only possible in grace, where you just have to believe and that’s it, but not in the world where we live according to the laws.
As Kurginyan noted, you can only rely on those who resist pressure; the future belongs to them.
“These are those who will withstand and overcome, and they will offer an alternative to the monstrous pressure of this world, the world of ‘the golden calf’, in fact, the world consumed with desire, the realm of the abyss – these are those who will withstand, you can rely on them, tomorrow belongs to them. And in the war that is now being waged, this factor will also be very important and very serious,” said Kurginyan.
