The United States cannot cede the status of the number one power in the world to China, so it is fighting it for influence at every point, philosopher, political scientist, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on August 25 in the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda.
“The process may proceed a bit softer for a while, and then fiercer again, and then softer again. But it is going in the direction predicted long ago, first by Hilferding and then by Lenin in [his work] Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism: uneven development,” Kurginyan explained the development of the competition for world leadership between the United States and China.
The political scientist noted that the United States used cheap Chinese labor for additional benefits, which gave China a chance to develop. China used it and began to grow at an accelerated pace.
Kurginyan emphasized that Beijing has its own problems and the USA will use them. “They will not directly drive this thermonuclear war, but they are moving in this direction step by step because they will not give up power,” he described Washington’s position.
“And the Chinese respond softly, ‘You have minus one percent there, and we have plus six percent. So cede [power] to us, that’s it,” the political scientist explained Beijing’s strategy.
“There is tension in every point of the globe. There is a deadly struggle for every African country, for this entire Middle East, for every Asian point, for everything together,” Kurginyan emphasized.
He noted that the world will not return in its previous state. “It was necessary to blow up this prosperity in some way. The US elites blew it up by imposing on us a response to the Banderization of Ukraine,” the political analyst said.
