Given the new centers of global development, the West will no longer be able to continue its line of dominance, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference following the G20 summit on September 10.
Lavrov said that taking into account the fact that “objectively, new centers of world development have long appeared and are gaining strength,” the joint West will no longer be able to remain the world hegemon. According to the Russian minister, the countries of the West should think about whether they are able to “continue their line of dominance” after the summit.
As Lavrov noted, the summit’s final document managed to find “a very healthy solution regarding the need to achieve a fair and just balance of interests.”
Lavrov assured that Russia, in turn, will “continue to strengthen these positive trends, including during the presidencies of Brazil next year in the G20 and South Africa in 2025.” He noted that “the goal is not close, but the movement in this direction has begun.“
