A delegation from Russia headed by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu will visit the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). The press service of the Russian military ministry announced this on July 25.
“This visit will contribute to the strengthening of Russian-North Korean military ties and will be an important stage in the development of cooperation between the two countries,” the statement said.
The ministry noted that Shoigu will stay in North Korea from July 25 to 27 at the invitation of the DPRK Defense Ministry. He will participate in the celebrations in honor of the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the Patriotic Liberation War of 1950-1953.
