09.06.2023, Moscow.

Ukrainian drones attacked the Zaporozhye thermal power plant, which is linked to the nuclear power plant, Rosatom’s General Director Aleksey Likhachyov told reporters on June 9.

“Yesterday, within an hour and a half, somewhere from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m., there were four ‘hits.’ Most probably, these were kamikaze drones. Two employees were injured, thank God, very lightly,” the head of the corporation said .

He noted that the facility’s infrastructure is integrated with the Zaporozhye NPP, it has a switchgear responsible for power supply to the plant.

Earlier ZNPP employees reported that after the terrorist attack at the Kakhovka HPP, the water level in the cooler has not changed, and there is no threat to safety.

On June 6, Ukrainian militants blew up the dam of the Kakhovka HPP, flooding of the nearby area. The dam was completely destroyed.
