There is no threat to the safety of the Zaporozhye NPP, plant director Yuri Chernichuk said on June 6.
He noted that the situation at the Kakhovska HPP did not currently pose a safety threat to the plant.
It is noted that the plant has reserve channels for obtaining water for cooling.
On the night of June 6, part of the dam of Kakhovska HPP was destroyed. According to preliminary reports, it was caused by an attack by the Ukrainian armed units.
Due to the destruction, water from the reservoir is currently draining uncontrollably.
