New Russian satellite will be able to observe Ukrainian armed units

A new Russian satellite Kondor-FKA will be able to conduct radar reconnaissance of the Ukrainian army’s facilities, RIA Novosti wrote on May 30 citing its sources.

The satellite was put into orbit on May 27. It will fly over Ukraine twice a day and will conduct radar reconnaissance of Ukrainian military facilities.

The resolution of the satellite is 1 m.

The source emphasized that the satellite can monitor regardless of the weather and time of day. With its help, it will be possible to see the movement of equipment and the construction of fortifications.

The Kondor series was developed by NPO Mashinostroeniya.

As the publication notes, the satellite received the designation COSMOS-2569 in the NORAD system.
