A dead-end reality has been formed in Russia, which will not allow us to hold out in our conflict with the West, philosopher and political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on May 13 on the Right to Know program on TVC.
Kurginyan noted that back in the Soviet Union a reality began to be built, which implied our peaceful integration into the West and our transformation into something like Denmark or another European country. He stressed that this reality has been built, and now Russia has challenged the West on its behalf.
“Within this reality in all its aspects, everything that is taking place in the so-called Russian-Ukrainian conflict, which is actually a conflict between Russia and the entire West, is much more optimistic than it could have been. Much more optimistic. For me. Because I believe that this is a dead-end reality. Do you hear me? Not because I like everything that is taking place, but because I believe that this reality is a dead-end,” Kurginyan stressed.
The political scientist explained that if a new reality had been declared in Russia after the SMO began, then this new reality would have had its advantages and disadvantages as compared to what we had before. It would have lacked certain properties typical of the previous reality, but it would have had some other properties. But when it is declared that the previous reality maintains, then everyone understands that it has become worse, because people now can afford fewer vacations abroad, they have fewer houses, yachts, and other features of this reality.
Kurginyan added that there is something within the current reality that has positively astonished him. He explained that the shops are full of goods, the exchange value of ruble is normal, the foreign political isolation of Russia has failed, and our economy has re-oriented from the West elsewhere. Nevertheless, he expressed confidence that this reality has no future.
“I do not think it will withstand our conflict with the West. I believe that either a new reality will come or this one will fail,” Kurginyan concluded.
