Bosnia and Herzegovina may supply gas from Russia

22.05.2023, Moscow.

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina approved negotiations on the construction of a gas pipeline for gas supplies from Russia, the head of the Republika Srpska Mission in Russia Dusko Perović told RIA Novosti on May 22.

According to him, Bosnia and Herzegovina “will negotiate with Serbia,” because the country will be connected to the Serbian pipeline transit system.

“After approval by the Council of Ministers, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina must take the following step,” Perović specified, adding that at the moment there are two dissenters in the Presidency.

He noted that the implementation of the initiative, in this case, may be achieved by bringing it to the parliamentary assembly of the country, where it could be voted on.

“Technically, we have everything prepared. We have been doing it for 10 years, ever since the South Stream issue was discussed,” Perović concluded.
