The Russian military destroyed two mortar crews of the Ukrainian armed units in the Krasny Liman direction, Aleksandr Savchuk, head of the press center of the Russian Armed Forces grouping Center, said on May 16 according to RIA Novosti.
He added that the attacks on the Ukrainian armed units and their equipment were carried out with the help of artillery and aviation.
“In the counter-battery fight, two mortar crews were uncovered and destroyed,” Savchuk said.
He said that in the Nevsky and Yampolovsky sections of the front, Russian reconnaissance personnel detected the redeployment of the 66th Mechanized Brigade, the 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade and the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian armed units. They were hit, and their equipment was destroyed as a result. The Ukrainian armed units also suffered losses in manpower.
