The residents of western Ukraine urgently leave the territories where background radiation has increased, MK RU wrote on May 16.
The news portal reports that panic has spread among residents of western Ukraine due to rumors that depleted uranium shells were stored in the depots near Khmelnytskiy city destroyed by the Russian Air Forces.
The Voyennoye Obozreniye newspaper stated on May 16 that dosimetric patrols had appeared in the streets of Khmelnitskiy, and the Ukrainian portal SaveEcoBot wrote that a significant increase in the background radiation had been measured in Khmelnitskiy.
