Hitler’s Germany has had technological superiority when it attacked the USSR, but then the Soviet Union was able to outdo the aggressor, said political scientist, philosopher, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on May 9 during the Victory Day video address.
Kurginyan recalled his father’s words about German air superiority at the beginning of the war: “In 1941, my father told me, if planes are flying, then they are German, you must immediately hide, and if you made a mistake, then this was a random mistake.”
Later the situation changed dramatically: “In 1944–1945, we achieved absolute air superiority over the entire military industrial complex of Europe!”, also stressed the expert.
Both France and Czechoslovakia manufactured weapons for Hitler, recalled the political scientist. Meanwhile, Germany itself turned into a totally mobilized state. According to Kurginyan, “Europe was a highly advanced industrial power.” However, the USSR has been able to surpass it, noted the analyst.
“So, we outdid this industry in the air. We outproduced it on the ground, in tanks and so on. We gave our soldiers modern weapons,” he said.
Perhaps, the Soviet weapons were somewhat less sophisticated and in some ways less effective than the German ones, added Kurginyan. But, according to him, they were “good enough to win for our soldier, who used them well and who relied on all the traditional values.”
