The Italian Front of Communist Youth organized a protest against the visit of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to Rome. The newspaper Il Giornale informed on 13 May.
“A few kilometers away from the place where the Ukrainian president met the Italian leader, extreme left-wing activists challenged Zelensky by unfolding a banner with an unfriendly slogan near the Colosseum,” the newspaper wrote.
The protesters called on the Italian government to stop participating in the conflict in Ukraine unleashed by the NATO bloc. They also demanded that the Italian authorities stop transferring weapons to Kiev.
“We consider the policy of the Italian government, which continues to send weapons to Ukraine, shameful,” one of the protesters told a representative of the Italian publication.
