11.05.2023, Moscow.

The Investigative Committee has established the facts of the recruitment of citizens of more than 70 countries into the armed forces of Ukraine, the head of Russia’s Investigative Committee Aleksandr Bastrykin said at a conference of the Constitutional Court on May 11.

The conference was held as part of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

“The facts of recruitment and participation in military actions of mercenaries – adherents of the Nazi regime from more than 70 countries have been established,” Bastrykin stressed.

He noted that these states are mainly in Europe and America and pursue an active anti-Russian policy.

In March, Bastrykin said that foreign mercenaries are enlisted in the ranks of the Ukrainian armed units. They are granted Ukrainian citizenship. He noted that since 2014 the West had been helping Kiev not only with weapons, but also with mercenaries.
