The first sea vessel from the Donetsk People’s Republic has been loaded with grain at the Mariupol commercial sea port, acting DPR head Denis Pushilin said in his Telegram channel on May 7.
Pushilin wrote that, as previously planned, the first ship was loaded with grain grown in the DPR at the Mariupol sea commercial port. According to Pushilin, “it was decided to use ships under the management of the Federal Autonomous Institution “RosKapStroy“, which deliver construction materials to the Mariupol port for the republic, to carry out grain deliveries.
Pushilin noted that such an approach to logistics would reduce transport costs and “significantly unload the automobile checkpoints“. Pushilin also noted that the organization of export of grain outside the Republic is designed to revive the most important sector of the economy of the region – agriculture.
Earlier it was reported that Mariupol sea trading port resumed its work at the end of May 2022, when the first ship delivered steel products to Rostov region.
