Some of the uniforms and necessary equipment have not been available in the German army for ten years, and German soldiers have to buy them themselves, the news portal of the German TV channel NTV wrote on April 26.
“Despite promises of several successive heads of the German Defense Ministry to establish supplies to the Bundeswehr, German servicemen have been forced to buy the necessary equipment and some of the uniforms that they cannot get from the procurement office for up to ten years,” the portal wrote.
