T-14 Armata tanks are used to fire on positions of Ukrainian militants, RIA Novosti reported on April 25.

Citing a source familiar with the situation, it is reported that Russian tank crews use Armata tanks for firing at Ukrainian militants’ positions, but not for direct assault actions.

“They have not yet been involved in direct assault actions,” the newspaper quoted the source as saying.

The T-14 Armata tank has a fire control system with automatic target recognition and tracking. The tank is armed with a 125mm 2A82-1M smoothbore gun placed in an unmanned turret, as well as two 12.7mm Kord and 7.62mm PKTM machine guns.
