Russian Armed Forces hit the joint headquarters of the Ukrainian army grouping Bakhmut in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) near the town of Konstantinovka, the Russian Defense Ministry said on April 20.

The Russian military hit three command and control posts of battalions of the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian armed units and the 116th Territorial Defense Brigade near the villages of Terny and Tonenkoye in the DPR.

Earlier, it became known that Russian units had reached the O-0506 highway, which connects Artemovsk with the village of Chasov Yar.

Fierce fighting continues in Artemovsk itself. Russian units control 90% of Artemovsk.

According to Yan Gagin, adviser to the acting DPR despite the fact that about 90% of the territory has already been lost by Kiev, the Ukrainian armed units are not retreating from the city. Only small groups are retreating.

The Russian Defense Ministry also informed that during the day, three districts in the central, southwestern and northwestern parts of the city were liberated in Artemovsk. From the north and south, the city is blocked by Russian Airborne Forces units.
