Kurginyan tells how officials of an empire behave

14.04.2023, Moscow.

In 1990s, Russia made a decision to get rid of its “cross of empire” in order to become an ordinary country and to integrate into the West; now it has become clear that Russia can only survive as an empire, and therefore it has to behave differently, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in an interview to the Metametrica channel published on March 25.

Kurginyan remembered a conversation with a top official from an Israeli intelligence service, Rafael Eitan, who seized Nazi criminal Eichmann in Latin America.

Eitan told about the difference in the work of the US and the UK security services. CIA agents do not stay in a country for a long time, because stagnation is bad for career. UK security officials, in contrast, can work in the same country all their life, because they want to know it very well and really understand it.

In the US, a CIA officer can go to Colombia, work there for two years, search for something, then move to Syria, and when his third year there comes he is already worried, and then he goes somewhere to Vietnam, then elsewhere, and so he keeps wandering around, Kurginyan tells what the renown intelligence officer said.

‘A UK official, he says, after he comes to a country, he sits on his chair until his buttocks and the chair become one, having the same character.’ Then he looked at me and he said, ‘Empire is when they want to know!’ he continued.

And now certain part of the post-Soviet and pro-Western elite can afford statements suggesting that they lack any understanding of what is taking place.

… some Foreign Ministry officials, whose last manes look familiar to me, suddenly say that ‘We won the cold war together with the USA.’ And I am thinking about how China or someone else are listening to that,” Kurginyan told.

This was a reference to a statement made by Russian Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyanskiy that Russia and the USA together won in the cold war.
