The incident with the Chinese balloon over the USA can be called Beijing’s “asymmetrical response,” said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in an interview to the ONT Belarusian channel.
Sending balloons over enemy territory is a complex and not really innocent measure, the political scientist believes.
“My experts who focus on certain military issues are telling me that it is all not that simple and the balloon component can be quite powerful. It is harder to identify, it flies high, and it can carry a very large explosive payload. Thus, it is not that innocent,” Kurginyan said.
The incident with the balloon launched from China over the United States can be considered to be Beijing’s “asymmetrical response,” the analyst added.
According to Kurginyan, the main point in the relations between China and the USA is not this incident, but the development disparity law in imperialism. Growing China is about to outpace the USA, the political scientist explained.
In early February, an unidentified balloon was detected in the sky over the USA. It was found to be Chinese. According to Beijing, it was a meteorological balloon that was blown off to the US airspace.
The balloon flew from the west to the east through the US territory, and it was shot down over the Atlantic Ocean.
